Santino's Wildest Dream Comes True: He Holds an Alligator

We visited a Reptilia Zoo at the Upper Canada Mall today. I loved this idea. Kids couldn't get enough of all the lizards, frogs and snakes.

Santino fell in love with a few snakes and a caiman, a tiny little crocodilian. But the pinnacle of this visit was the alligator! Santino held it, and touched it, and all he could talk about after that was that he wants to have a big crocodile at home.

Oh, I just hope he forgets about this idea soon.

Christmas Countdown Activities. Day 7. A Field trip to the Toronto Christmas Market.

Toronto has Christmas Market, that takes place in the beautiful part of the city, the Distillery District. This historic district is an awesome place as it is, with its shops, restaurants, and theaters, but every year now it also hosts a Christmas Market, European style, making it a great attraction for the Torontonians and visitors.

Newmarket Santa Parade 2013.

This will be just a collection of a couple of photos. We walked part of the way to  get to Main St., Santino biked. Then we waited a while with the crowd. Santino's favorite part was in the beginning of the parade - 2 fire trucks! Once they were gone, Santino wasn't much interested. He later wanted to run around, walk his friend's dog (dressed as a hot dog.. so cute!) and dance. The parade was just a tad bit long for his attention span. I reckon.

Field trip: Fire Station Open House

This morning Santino woke up saying "fire trucks, fire trucks". I thought it was because I told him yesterday "stay in the bed, close your eyes, and tomorrow I will take you to the fire station", but he just wanted to watch the videos, that his daddy made for him long time ago: a compilation of various short videos of trucks found for  free on the internet.

My plan was to take him to the open house for an hour or so, then check out a mom-to-mom sale, and then stop by at a park. Last year I took Santino to the same fire station to their open house, and he didn't want to do anything, just sat in the corner and ate popcorn.
This time proved to be very different. I brought him early, exactly at the opening time, to beat the crowd and be able to do something without standing in line. He started slow, just looking around. Then he examined the fire trucks, displayed at the front of the fire station.
I am thinking now, "why didn't I take photos of the premises and all the activities, and how nicely it all was displayed and organized". I guess I'm not a reporter, I was mostly concerned with what Santino wanted to do, so I only have pictures of him.

He started by climbing on one of the fire trucks.

A field trip to the Canada Wonderland

This is not something unusual for us. After all, I did buy a season pass, so that we could go as often as we like, thanx to my friends Devin and Joana who drive us.
